Dawn's Genealogy & Printing Service

I was born February 26, 1965, in Batavia the daughter of Warren and Sharon
(Voorhees - Pocock) Oderkirk. I married my high school sweetheart Ryeder Dilcher,
son of Dayton and Beverly (Smith) Dilcher. I'm the mother of three wonderful
children Mark 21, Kyle 18 and Sheena 16. I also work delivering mail in Bergen
and Byron area as part-time.
My mom use to be the Town
Historian for Bergen and I use to help her collected information to do with the
Town of Bergen. Then about six years ago I started on my dad side of the family.
My grandmother had lots of information with photos, which helped a lot. I love
looking at old pictures, they are interesting. After I collected the information
I did a scrapbook and the whole family help with information on their families
and gave the book to my grandmother as a Christmas gift. She loved it and she
learned a few things that she didn't know. I continue to find information and as
of to date, my family tree on the Pocock side has 5,996 individuals and still
adding more.
This year I started on my
mom side of the family, with the help of her cousins, Jackie Dawson and Pat
Lowery we are making slow progress.
I have lived in the Byron and Bergen area all my life
and most of the families on the Pocock side are buried in the Byron, Bergen and
Elba area. I have a 5th great grandfather that is buried in the Byron cemetery.
He fought in the Revolutionary War. He was one of the early settlers. I have
lots of information on his whole family.
I love doing genealogy and helping other people find
their family roots.
